This book by Eduardo Mendoza is hilarious. Basically, it's a detective story set in ancient times, when romans were still in power and believing in many Gods was the norm. Pomponio is trying to find out the truth about a murder that is being blamed on an innocent man, but the story itself is very funny and very much the authors style. If you speak spanish and like a good detective story pick this up. Im on my last chapter.
