Everyone needs a little Ground Support

I also had a great coconut/almond tea that left me wanting more. Cristina says she keeps coming back here because the barista makes a heart in her coffee, but I think it has something to do with the flavor as well. The fact that they have a sandwich special is also a good incentive to check this place out. Do you really need any more reasons after the account I have given on this ginger cookie? Well, maybe the cool pieces of tree trunk furniture will lure you in.

Billy's bakery could turn into an obsession

After all is said and done I recommend the carrot cake. It's better than anything else I have had from them (including cupcakes i got there in the Summer). Just go, get it, and schedule your next visit because it will probably be soon.

I want to live in the H house
The H house looks like such a delight. I love the amazing views! Group 41 Architects did a great job with the structure of this design and overall use of space. I am in awe. If i lived there, in trendy San Francisco, i would probably have a dinner party every week. Here are the pics.

Run to Oyamel for drinks and churros!

We had amazing margaritas and our very friendly bartender Jasmine made me a Mezcal sour. It was kind of interesting because she dropped an egg white in there and I did not know how that whole thing was going to turn out, but I'm so glad I tried it. It was tasty and light at the same time. The big bang came when we found out that the place has churros. If you ever want to bribe me, get some churros in the room and I'll do whatever you say. Fried dough with cinnamon and sugar sprinkled all over it is kind of an obsession of mine. Manny and I gobbled it up while we dipped the perfect fried sticks in some sort of chocolate mousse. I was so excited that I ended up dropping one, but I picked it up and ate it anyway because I don't give a f***. I needed to have that last piece.
On the next visit I am going to make sure we get guacamole and chips. Some people were having it at their table when we were there and it looked amazingly chunky & delicious.

Eating healthy/ Feeling fabulous pt.1- Tofu "egg" salad

Tofu "egg" salad
1 pound firm tofu- roughly mashed
2 tbs chopped parsley
2 tbs mayo or vegan mayo
2 tbs sweet relish1 tbs olive oil
4 teaspoons prepared Dijon mustard
1-2 scallion finely chopped
1 clove of crushed garlic
1/4 teaspoon of turmeric
1/4 teaspoon of pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
Procedure: Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl. Stir and mix until you get the consistency you like from the Tofu. The more you stir, the less chunky the salad will be.
See how easy this was? It will last you about 3 days if you put it in the fridge. One day you can have it with toast for breakfast, another day you can have it on crackers before your dinner or as a snack, and another day you can make a banging sandwich to take to work ;-)
Stay tuned, I'll be posting more as I make the rest of the recipes.
