Prince is a weird mofo. I think I saw Purple Rain over 10 years ago. Thursday night Prospect park had a special 25th anniversary sing along showing of Prince's classic Purple Rain. I went to see the band Escort (who was opening for the event) and to refresh my memory about this pop culture phenomenon. If you have seen the movie then you know I don't have to say anything. The movie speaks for itself and Prince is brilliant. The only thing is that I think it's funny that I love every song ("I would die for you", "When doves cry") in the movie except the tittle track "Purple Rain". lol.
Above is a pic of a true fan, Anitra, who rocked out in a purple wig and those fabulous white shoes. The other sensational young lady in a purple jumpsuit is the lead singer of Escort who did an amazing job.
