*Fonografiks has been having some fun re-designing classic comic book covers. These two stood out with me because let's face it, I'm a huge X-men geek. Which of these ladies has the best cover? Below you can see the original covers as intended.
I am revisiting the classic "Dark Phoenix Saga" written by Chris Claremont. I almost missed my train stop this morning because I was so into it. This is a book every comic book lover should read. It is one of the most interesting story lines in comic book history.
I had this poster when I was about 10. i think it ended up getting ripped in one of the many moves I had growing up, BUT I just found it on eBay! I can't wait to get my hands on it. Super geek points if anyone can tell me what artist drew this 'cause I have no idea...
This is the kind of cute promotional stuff i love to see. Google's header today has artwork by legendary Jim Lee (he used to draw X-men comics in the 90's)! YAY!
The art here blows me away. Alex Ross should do more X-men covers like this. The colors, and even the characters he chose for this cover are amazing. I cant wait to get my hands on this.
Wondering around the city Saturday, trying to get Cristina a cute dress, when we bumped into Mr. Scardovi's postcard. Spiderman in heels, superheroes kissing, and it just gets better and better. this Italian comic geek lives in Bologna and is my pick for best new artist.
The Fabulous RU Blog is here to make sure you notice some fabulous things that you might have otherwise overlooked because of your very busy schedule. I point out restaurants, clothing items, music, other blogs, comics, bars, images from fashion magazines, museum exhibits, etc.
Our mission is to expose the best there is to offer and create our own "must" list that you can use as a guide whenever you need to.
Everyone is fabulous in their own way, especially if you have The Fabulous Ru Blog on your side.
Enjoy!
