Doctor Strange is coming!

Sometime last week I posted about how Marvel has announced that they are making a Thor movie and a Captain America movie, BUT this is the best announcement yet...Doctor Strange is getting his own flick too and it's exciting to hear the people currently attached to the project. As of now if you go on IMDB it says that Guillermo del Toro (pan's Labyrinth) might direct with a script by none other than Neil Gaiman (Watchmen, Stardust). Im crossing my fingers already.

Celery BAN

I can't take it anymore. I am officially banning celery. This damn veggie is so disgusting! I hate when I'm eating something and all of a sudden I taste celery that was hidden away somewhere. It just ruins my dish completely. Makes me want to send it back and say, "can I please get this with no fucking celery? Thanks". If you like celery I don't wanna hear about it. YUCK!

I finally got my ass over to the new Mr.Black on Varrick and Vandam and I was so happy to see that it was all about the dancing and the music again. Last time around Mr.Black sold it's soul to the devil and it chelsea-fied everything. They had way too much pop and go go boys, which was so lame. This time around I was dancing as soon as I got there, great crowd, music, bartenders, everything. It's much bigger too. Just watch out when you get there, because security will frisk you like you have a bomb up your butt.

Lucky to be alive

I was walking westbound on Houston Street with my friend Craig when all of a sudden a cab slams right into a car and the whole bumper of the car hit flies off. I was crossing the street when this hapenned and some of the pieces of the car hit touched my feet. Craig then notices that the person driving the cab is unconscious, maybe he had a heart-attack? So his foot was still on the accelerator and the car kept going and made a left, making its way into the opposite lane where traffic was going against him and hitting two more cars, HARD. I was so shocked and lucky that the cab made a left and not a right after hitting the first car, because it would have been a very different story that I would be telling or someone else would be telling right now.

Heroes comes back September 15th...

After the writers strike and the dragging on of heroes season 2, I was beginning to get discouraged. Now more new info is popping up about the 3rd season coming up on September 15th. 

1. Angela Petrelli's powers will finally be revealed and she plays a major role.

2. Elle will be back at some point

3. the heroes have to  save the world at least 2 times. 

I'm sure more details will pop up towards the end of the Summer and I will keep everyone posted, But I really hope the next season is much better than the last because I love this show and do not want to see it cancelled. 

4.3 million for Tautou in new Chanel ad

I already posted some weeks ago on Tautou and how she will be the new face of Chanel No.5 replacing Nicole Kidman. New details are popping up. First, this bitch is getting 4.3 million Euros, not dollars people, Euros. That's cute. Second, just like Nicole got to work with Baz Luhrmann for the commercial, Tautou will get to work with Jean-Pierre Jeunet (director of Amelie). This is probably going to be a very cute commercial to look out for. Get excited people!

This is very very interesting. Italian Vogue will have an issue with all black models. I LOVE THIS! It's going to be a celebration of the black woman and I'm surprised they have not done it in the U.S and that Italy is going forward with this idea. Thor is coming!

After Iron man people have been going crazy asking what the Avengers are, what is S.H.I.E.L.D and all this mess. All I'm going to say is that the Avengers is the team, just like X-men, and some of the members are Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and Spiderman. The rumor is that Marvel will put out an Avengers movie after they release some solo movies first. Thor is up next year and now that Iron Man made so much freaking money, I'm sure that there's more room for others to get their shot at the spotlight. Maybe Excalibur? X-force?

He might be a crazy Scientologist alien or whatever, but I will always love Tom Cruise. He was one of my crushes when I was little, right next to Jean-Claude Van Damme's ass and George Michael. Super-heroes at the Costume Institute Gala

I did not realize how serious this shit is. Everyone and their mom's showed up to this event. Every year they have a theme and celebrities are supposed to run with it and have fun. This year the theme was super-heroes. The ones that had the most fun were Anna Wintour (surprisingly) and Zac Posen (pictured above in blue tux). I need to go to this event at least once in my lifetime. 

Whole Foods on Bowery has trail mix station

The Whole Foods on bowery has become an obsession. It's so pleasant to go in there and shop for food that now I think I'm addicted to buying food. I will make up any excuse to go in that store. In my most recent trip to the store I found a new trail mix station and it's the best thing because now I have something to munch on at work. Dried banana's, apples, pineapple chunks, chocolate covered almonds, yogurt covered raisins, walnuts, honey peanuts, cashews, and anything else you can think of is there...waiting for you to come get it.

El asombroso viaje de Pomponio Flato

This book by Eduardo Mendoza is hilarious. Basically, it's a detective story set in ancient times, when romans were still in power and believing in many Gods was the norm. Pomponio is trying to find out the truth about a murder that is being blamed on an innocent man, but the story itself is very funny and very much the authors style. If you speak spanish and like a good detective story pick this up. Im on my last chapter.

Scary joker, I'm ready

I saw the new batman trailer when I went to see Iron Man on Friday. Look how scary Heath looks in this still shot! And what the hell, he is pushing Maggie off a roof?! This is just going to be so intense, I can't wait.

Iron Man is here

Tonight is the night! I will be watching Iron Man at 7PM tonight and I just can't wait. The special effects alone have me giddy. I just hope it's not full of corny one liners and that Mrs. Paltrow does a little something more than just stand around making money for n apparent reason.

Jadis has the bomb salad!

I went here with Cristina and I'm so happy I have been formally introduced to Jadis. I'm not big on the Lower East Side, but I will make the trip just to go get the Anna Salad. Baby spinach with pears, beets, and goat cheese all wrapped up in a vinaigrette. Delicious and definitely worth another visit really soon.
