Ralph Lauren has teamed up with the Hetrick-Martin institute's Harvey Milk High School for a special charity event. The institute is dedicated to the needs of the lesbian, bi-sexual, gay and transgender or questioning community and open to all students. The very talented kids from this High school have designed tote bags and 100 percent of the profits will go right to the school. It's great to see kid's motivated and excited. They delivered a bag any of us would wear and with the help of Ralph Lauren you can. There are two variations of the tote bag. One says "I kiss boys" and the other says "I kiss girls". Look at my friend Luisa! She looks fabulous with that nice Miami tan AND that amazing necklace. Abigail Ramos is extremely talented and making jewelry is one of her passions. She takes her life experiences and interests as ideas to make her designs. The one I'm showing off here is called "Green eyes". She used some chunky green turquoise, white pearls and brass links that she found many years ago in a little antique shop in Pontchatoula, a town outside of New Orleans. I am extremely impressed and the jewelry really speaks for itself. I'm on team Abigail!

The king of pop is dead!

I am so beside myself. I knew Michael Jackson had to die someday, but not at 50 years old! It was reported that a 911 call was made from his home because Michael was not breathing. The cause of his death is now believed to be a heart attack. This is such a sad day. This blog has turned into a cemetery today. No matter what, Michael's spirit and music will live on FOREVER!

I got off the train to come home and people here in Washington Heights are playing his music on blast, dancing, and celebrating someone who was always there at our parties, making us dance.

Farrah Fawcett dies at the young age of 62

It is a very sad day when someone so vibrant dies at such a young age. Farrah will forever live on in this image I have posted (one of the most famous pictures in American history in my opinion) and for her timeless role empowering women in Charlie's Angels.

The hottest tranny mess guilty pleasure movie of my life is going to start being made later this year. Christina Aguilera and Cher will star in Burlesque, a story about a young girl who comes into her own while working at a burlesque club. Cher will play the club owner. Every gay guy on the planet has to go see this. My mouth is watering already because Christina is one of my favorites. AND for some reason I feel like they should get Adam Lambert as Christina's gay best friend in the movie. I see him in that mix somehow.

Train crash kills at least 7 in Washington D.C

Washington D.C is experiencing their biggest metro accident to date and at least 7 people have lost their lives. A speeding train slammed into another train that was not moving causing the craziness you see above. One of the train conductors has passed and it is unknown why the other train conductor did not hit the brakes before impact. My heart goes out to the family of the people that passed yesterday.

Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland is coming

Stay tuned because Tim Burton is re-making Alice in Wonderland and it's going to be fabulous!

I have to say, even though Tim has his own very unique style, he is one of the most versatile directors I know. Who could pull off Beetlejuice and then make Batman and then make Alice in Wonderland? He's all over the place, but if there's one thing we can expect is big laughs and visual candy all over the place. Here are some familiar faces that will be in the movie. Pretty easy to figure out the actor and what role they play.

The Diva is back with a song called "Obsessed". The buzz is that she is tired of Eminem talking about her in his lame music, so she's calling him out and asking "why ya so obsessed with me?". I'm feeling it has the official summer jam.

Glen Hanson is good with the eye candy

Glen Hanson is an artist from Toronto and can basically do pretty much anything. Illustrator, writer, and art director all in one. I was browsing through some of his images and damn, I almost wanted to lick the screen. He uses a lot of erotic imagery and has an amazing eye. If you see some of the caricatures you will be amazed. Brand new building designed by Morphosis is finally almost done. It will be the home of The Cooper Union. This is an academic building for the advancement of science and art. What do you think? Pretty neat how it looks like the building itself is an envelope.

Megan Foxx A.K.A Jezebel

I want to be clear, I don't have anything against this girl. If anything, I think she is extremely HOT and in touch with her body. BUT, don't you think this dress makes her look like a Jezebel that will steal your man, and your little dog too! Haha. She looks like she will tie you up until you release the credit card. LOVE it. Shia looks like he's trying to lay low and let her stand in the spotlight.

Empire state building is ruby red

I don't know if it was the combination of fog and the red color at the top of the Empire State building, but it looks like it's on fire, right? I took these pics and now that I'm looking I am very glad I had my camera with me. I don't think I've ever seen it look that way...

Small things make big impact at Prune

I can't stop talking about Prune because I was literally blown away by the amazing small details that were so delicious. The duck breast was extremely succulent. The lamb was delicious, but I was shocked that the beans that came with it were so flavorful I almost wanted a full plate of just that. There's also some really good ricotta ice cream with caramel croutons. I am planning my return for a brunch session where I hear they make their mimosas with fresh squeezed orange juice.

DJ Center spins at Eighteenth Street Lounge in Washington D.C June 20th

It just so happens that I will be in Washington D.C next weekend and I will be lucky enough to see my friend DJ Center spin at Eighteenth Street Lounge. The place has a lot of character and the old school furniture makes the ambiance a little more relaxed and chic. DJ center always comes through with a little bit of hip hop and soul which he mixes with Latin sounds and funk. A real treat, so get to it! If you bump into Michelle Obama tell her to come!
